Back to the past

I don't know if I would like to go to the future because it could be revealing. It scares me thinking about how the future it could be. I do not like to think about the idea that nature or animals will disappear. There are already species that have disappeared and many are in danger. If things continue that way it would be worse, I think for this reason I would not like to go to the future. I would not like to do it in personal terms, for example, to see what my life would be like. I prefer to go discovering it on my own, as long as I grow up. If i could go back to the past I think I wouldn't change anything about my life. I think that both good and bad experiencies were important to learn how life works, and I'm fine now so I think I'd just leave it. Maybe, I would tell myself to be more confident and speak more, because I was very shy. If I had a travel machine I would like to go back to my childhood. I know that it may sound boring because there are so many even...

Post graduate studies

I postgraduate course that i'm considering on taking in the future is languages. I would really like to take this course becuase, as a journalist, it opens a lot of possibilities for you.  I've always dreamed about making investigative documentaries, travel around the country, get to know different places, people and realities. I think that is a experiencie that enriches you. And if I can travel not only my country but other continents too, it would be amazing. But before the trip starts, I would like to study here because, seeing it from a very realistic perspective, it's closer to my possibilities. If I can study in other country it would be fanstastic, but I think it would only be possible with a scholarship, so i'm gonna investigate about that. I woul like to do a part-time course, to be 100% involved with what I am doing and be able to learn as fast as posible.  Right now i'm taking a CFG (a general training course) here at the university. "Eusk...

My future job

A job that I would like to have in the communication field is to work making audiovisual productions . I would love to make investigative documentaries,  with significance as well as social outreach. I imagine it is a difficult job, but it is still entertaining. It's hard because in the process of making a documentary you need to be 100% committed. Also, you need to work as a team. If you are a sound engineer, director of photography, director, producer or journalist, you need to complement each other so that the result is as expected. I don't really like indoor jobs,   I prefer moving from one place to another interacting with more people than just the same group every single day. M aking audiovisual productions gives you the possibility to travel a lot, to know different places and people, besides knowing different realities. About the salary, I would love to have more economic stability and of course having a job that allows me to keep studying. ...

My favorite Book

Honestly, I don't have a favourite author. I think I've read so many books in my life of different genres, and it's really hard to choose just one, so I'm gonna talk about a genre that I love: books of investigative journalism. The trigoly "La danza de los cuervos", "El despertar de los cuervos", and "A la sombra de los cuervos", of Javier Rebolledo it is one of my favorite. Books that address violations of human rights during the dictatorship in Chile. I think these books are important because they are informative for all of us, as well as revealing the complicity of civilians with the dictatorship, pointing directly to two of the most powerful groups. The last book I read is "Incendio en la torre 5: Las 81 muertes que gendarmería quiere olvidar". This is another investigation of Tania Tamayo, an important journalist and teacher of the journalism school. I would totally recommend this book because it is an investigatio...

My favorite movie

Imagen
I'm not sure if I have a favorite movie, but if I have to choose, one that comes to my mind and that I really love is "Leon: The Professional".   I love this story because of one of the protagonists: Mathilda and how brave she is. Once her family and her little brother are killed by Stan, a corrupt agent, because of a problem that he had with Mathilda's dad (a drug dealer), she takes refuge in Leon's house, a hired murderer. I love their relationship and the chemistry they had. They make a pact: she will take care of the housework and teach him to read; and Leon, will teach her to shoot to be able to take revenge of those who killed his baby brother. Because of this movie I'm a big fan of Natalie Portman. The kind of movies that I like to watch are Thriller and Drama. The last movie I saw was Gridiron Gang and I totally recommend it. Its about Sean Porter, a probation officer in the detention camp who oversees inmates at "Kilpatric...

The best concert ever

The best concert I have ever been to was at the Estadio Nacional, on juanary 7th: "La Cumbre del Rock Chilena". I went with my best friends and it was a festival, so it started very early in the morning. There, I saw some of my favourite bands and musicians like Weichafe, Los Miserables, Sexual Democracia, Joe Vaconcellos and Santa Feria. It was amazing! The artist that I was most excited to see was obviously Jorge Gonzalez, because its was going to be his last perfomance. I grew up listening to "Los Prisioneros" and I remember that my big sister had all their cassettes (I am pretty sure it still somewhere in my house). I really love their work as musicians and it amazing how their music has impacted an entire generation in the 80's. His show was brilliant! and the atmosphere in the crowd was a little bit emotional, unlike the other performances were the feeling was powerfull and energetic. I really enjoyed this festival, but I dind't think it was goi...

A Country I'd like to Visit

Imagen
Hello everybody. Well, I think that is kind of difficult to choose one country because i'd like to travel the entire world and visit so many places. But I think that the first country on the list It would be Bolivia, because is close to Chile. One thing that is interesting about this country for me its their culture, because there is a mix of costumes and traditions between indigenoues people and the spanish conquerors.  One of my best friends was there last summer and told me that it was beautiful and inexpensive.  He told me about "mamingas", women that are in some places in the country. They are so kind and wear traditional clothes. Maningas will help you with everything you need, even if they only speak ther native language: Quechua.  A thing that I would like to do is visit Uyuni: the largest salt flats in the world, because of its amazing views. I would like to go to "La Isla del Sol" too. And obviously, eat a lot of traditional food! ...
